Becher Chase Day Course Tour

New for Becher Chase Day: take a minibus tour to see some of Aintree’s most iconic Grand National fences!

Only during the Grand National Festival has there been the opportunity to explore the famous fences; Becher’s Brook, Fionavon, Canal Turn and Valentine’s. Now, for the first time on Becher Chase Day, you can take a Course Tour, before racing, to see the fences as they appear for the world-famous horseracing festival. Sit back and let one of our dedicated Racemakers drive you into the open countryside for a unique experience.

For information about the route, please see the map.

Book in for a minibus tour from the Hedgehunter Bar on Saturday 9 December, from gates opening. Please note, this is offered on a first come, first served basis.

Is the tour free of charge?

Yes, this is a complementary activity that is being offered as part of the raceday experience.

Can I book in advance?

Unfortunately not. We want as many people to enjoy the tour as possible and there are limited tours available. To reduce the risk of empty spaces and ‘no-shows’, bookings will be taken on the day. All guests will be allocated to a specific minibus tour. If, for any reason, this tour is missed we cannot guarantee another, subsequent tour.

Can I guarantee a place?

The only way to secure a place is by turning up as early as possible and booking in via our dedicated start point in the Hedgehuner Bar, located to the side of Lord Sefton Stand. We cannot guarantee spaces and we anticipate that bookings will fill up quickly.

There is a group of us, can we travel together?

We will endeavour to accommodate guests as much as possible. However we cannot guarantee that large parties will be able to travel together in the same minibus.

What time will the tours be running?

The first tour is anticipated to start at 10.10am, just after gates open. The last tour will leave the Hedgehunter Bar 12.25pm.

Can I get off the minibus during the tour?

No. We are keen to drive as many people out to the fences as possible and are therefore are unable to stop to allow people to alight.
