Enter into the community spirit on Saturday 10 November and join us for a day of action-packed Jump racing, plus activities from our local partners.
Celebrating the Aintree Community Programme, the day will be filled with fun for all the local community. There will be a host of activities across the racecourse from all our different community partners including:
-Football sessions by Everton in the Community
-Canter for Cancer by North West Cancer Research- Cycle rides by Wheels4All
-Inflatable hitting net hosted by the Aintree Golf Centre
At 11am, Aintree will mark the 100 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War in 1918 by a minute silence. Working with the Royal British Legion, Liverpool Veterans and Veterans in Sefton, the racecourse will have a strong military presence supporting the #ThankYou campaign.
The day is also supporting The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre (BTRC). At 11.45am, there will be an ex-racehorse parade featuring some well-known horses in the Parade Ring and throughout the afternoon, you’ll be able to meet an ex-racehorse up close in their exhibition marquee by the Queen Mother Lawn.
The famous Equine Art Competition is also back. Eight local schools are busy painting a 3ft Perspex horse which will be judged on the day. Make sure you head to the Community Hub to see the fabulous horses and have a picture with them.
