Aintree Golf Centre set to host Free Community Fun Day for a third year

Aintree Golf Centre is hosting an action-packed free Community Fun Day on Sunday, 2nd July, 2017 from 11am to 4pm. 

Now in its third year, the community day provides an opportunity for the local residents, both adults and children to experience the superb facilities the Golf Centre offers. 

There will be an exciting arrange of entertainment including free golf lessons, US Kids Golf Demo Day, putting competitions, inflatables, face painting, laser clay pigeon shooting, pony rides, football activity with 23Foundation plus more. 

Live music and dance performances from LIPA Sixth Form College will also create a fantastic atmosphere.

Kick-starting the day, there will be a 5K Family Fun Run at 11am and a 2.5k run at 12pm offering you the chance to run alongside the famous Grand National fences on the hallowed Aintree turf. Nick Percy, Manager of Aintree Golf Centre said: 
“We are really proud that the Community Day has grown year on year and this year, all monies raised on the day will be donated to the Aintree Community Programme, which aims to inspire local children and adults alike to be the best they can be through the power of horseracing. The funds will be used to support local community groups to improve their health and well-being, including dementia groups, military veterans, disabled individuals and local schools.
