Where is it located?
Aintree Racecourse is minutes away from the motorway network, with Preston and Manchester both just 40 minutes drive away. Liverpool Airport is just 17 miles away and Manchester International Airport a 45 minute drive.
What are the nearest transport links?
The City of Liverpool is just 15 minutes drive, and can also be accessed via Aintree station, just steps away from the racecourse. Aintree station services the local Merseyrail network running between Liverpool Central and Ormskirk station which are both 15 minutes journey. Liverpool Central is a 5 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street main line station which can also be accessed via the underground network.
How do I get to Aintree by car?
Aintree Racecourse is located on the A59, just one mile from the M57 and M58, which link the M62 and M6. Our postcode is L9 5AS. For full directions please check the ‘Directions & Parking’ page.
Where can I stay?
There’s a wide range of quality accommodation available both in close proximity to Aintree or nearby in the vibrant City of Liverpool and your event manager will be able to assist in obtaining the best rates for your delegates. Liverpool offers a proliferation of hotels and serviced apartments, or for a more laid back atmosphere coastal Southport is less than 20 minutes drive.
Can I hire the racecourse for a daytime event?
Yes we hold daytime, evening & weekend events.
Are there conference facilities available at the racecourse?
Aintree Racecourse offers a choice of 14 conference and meeting suites and no fewer than 43 adaptable boxes across four grandstands, accommodating anything from a private meeting for five delegates to a multi-day conference for 600 attendees.
Can private guided tours of the racecourse be arranged?
Yes we can offer this to groups of delegates at an additional cost, please contact a member of the events team for more information.
Can we hold a wedding ceremony at the Racecourse?
Yes we have 9 of our 14 rooms licensed for a wedding ceremony. Our district registrar is Southport Register Office, Corporation Street, Southport, PR8 1DA. 0151 934 2011.
What is the booking procedure?
This differs for each type of event, please contact the events team for further information.
What is your cancellation policy for confirmed events?
The deposit is retained in full in the event of cancellation for any reason. If cancelled more than 60 days before the event a 25% charge of the total booking will apply. If cancelled less than 60 days before the event a 50% charge of the total booking will apply. If cancelled less than 14 days before the event a 100% charge of the total booking will apply.
Can we bring in our own caterers?
No, we provide the catering service.
Can we provide our own alcohol?
Yes, but a corkage fee will apply.
Can we use our own photographer, musician or entertainment?
Yes, but we will require certain documentation from them before they arrive onsite.
Can we deliver or set up the day before an event?
Prior arrangement only and it may be at an additional cost, please contact the events team for further information.
Can we arrange to leave items in the venue overnight?
Yes as long as it is arranged with a member of the events team before leaving site and you are aware it is at your own risk.
Can we smoke inside the venue?
No smoking is permitted indoors but we have designated smoking areas around the grounds.
Is there any parking at the racecourse?
We offer complimentary parking for up to 1,800 cars.
Is there disable access at the racecourse?
Aintree Racecourse is committed to making the course grounds available to as many people as possible meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and makes every effort to ensure its communications and facilities are accessible to those with special needs, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments.
Do you have an outside space that we can use?
Aintree offers 270 acres of outdoor space, together with the legendary Crabbies Grand National course itself.
Can we hire a space for a photo shoot or filming?
Yes, please contact a member of the events team for more information.
How late can events run and can they be extended?
We have 24hr security onsite so we can stay open late into the night. If a bar is required then we can remain open until 12.30am and we do offer an extension until 1.30am at an additional charge.
